Compass rose
The orange arrow shows the direction to orient the panel.
Sun path
Sun's path across the sky throughout the year at your location. Solid line is the selected date.
Monthly irradiation
kWh/m² per day, monthly average. Useful for sizing batteries and comparing performance.
See the panel
at the optimal angle.
The panel is tilted to the optimal angle for this location. Drag the time slider to watch the sun travel along its real path (calculated via SunCalc/NOAA) and see when light hits the panel.
- Optimal azimuth assumes maximum annual production. For winter optimization, rotate +15° east of south. For summer, rotate +15° west.
- Optimal tilt is ≈ site latitude. For integrated solar luminaires (post-top), it is typically fixed between 15° and 35° for structural and self-cleaning reasons.
- This calculator does not consider local shading (buildings, trees, topography). In dense urban environments, validate with a shading study.
- Shown irradiation is clear-sky averaged. Real output also depends on weather, dust and exact orientation.
By city
Pre-computed calculation for 12 strategic Mexican cities. Each page provides azimuth, tilt, annual irradiation and sun path for that location.
